Mother's Day Competition

Curious, really, about Mother's Day. various countries and communities celebrate it in May - as this year - and others celebrate it before Easter - traditionally as Mothering Sunday.

However, one aspect remains the same - it is a time to appreciate those who mother us; whoever that is.

This competition is not only for this server but is also being shared mira-wide . . .

It is your chance to write a poem...

... any style, any approach - it must however be in English.
And it must be in honour of the occasion of Mother's Day.
Yes, it may have a mira-based inspiration.
No, there is no need to illustrate it.

The prizes thread will be updated as the prizes too have been updated.

If i knew as a child what i know now,Mom,
i probably wouldn't have made things
so hard for you.
I would have understood
that you were looking out for my best interest,
even though it may not have seemed so at the time.
I would have know how difficult it is to let go,
to stand back and let someone you love learn from their mistakes.
I would have realized
how fortunate i was to have a Mom
who was always there for me,
even after our argument,
even after i'd said things.
While it's too late for a lot of things,
it's not too late for me to tell you
that i appreciate how loving you are
how giving you've aiways been
and that even though
i may not always be good at showing it
i LOVE you very much!!!♥♥♥

Miro is a little red dragon,
lots of players, but still always alone.
Does he have a mother, a father,
or siblings? This is all unknown.

I'd wish Travian Games would at least give him,
a sweet, caring, loving and special mother.
One who is always there when he needs her,
a fur-coated dragon like there is no other.

That when he trembles or falls,
she kisses his knees and his lips.
That when he's starving to death,
she hands over him a bag of chips.

One he can cuddle with when he's cold,
or when he's very very much afraid.
And who punishes him severe,
when he didn't listen and disobeyed.

That's all I'd wish for today,
because Miro is very special to me.
A sweet big red dragon-mother,
is all I'd like to see!
