Christmas Greetings Competition 2020

Greetings Miramagicians,

Emma's house is filled with scent of cinnamon, vanilla and oranges. Magic candles are burning and tiny bells chime with the soft voices of the fairies singing carols while decorating the whole place.

For us, Advent and Christmas time is quite different this year from what we're used to, but surely there's no reason to complain and lament all over. We have a chance to question our old traditions, to re-acquaint ourselves to the essential elements of the season and to create new traditions!

What's matters to us as Miramagia team?

A friendly and helpful community, an idyllic world. Individual creativity, tolerance and solidarity!

In real life, a little Christmas greeting is to our loved ones is even more important this year. And we know that many of you have a talent to rhyme: So fire up and take part in our poem competition!

A Christmas poem

Thoughtful or funny, that's all up to you. Write a Christmas poem that you would send in a Christmas card. This might offer a variety of brand new texts to those who aren't that comfortable with words.

Participation rules:
- Each player may enter as many poems as they want to.
- Every poem needs to be original and have at least 4 lines.
- You can enter your text(s) via reply posting to this thread and also via in-game message to dragonholt.
- For forum entries: mention your in-game name in the posting.
- Deadline: 24th Dec 2020, 10:00 UTC
- Every participant will receive a contribution goodie; this will be awarded only once per player, no matter how many entries they posted.
- Three main winners will be drawn from all entries. No matter how many poems a player has entered, one person can only win one of the main prizes.
- Evaluation of entries, drawing and announcing winners will be completed by 28th Dec 2020.

A long time ago in a land far away
there came to be a very special day.
A man and his wife had traveled from afar
to a stable soon to be marked by a star.
It was there she gave birth in the night
with Angels all around to witness the sight.

A baby boy had been born and laid in a manger
soon to be visited by many a stranger.
It was there a bright star shone down from above.
It filled all their hearts with so much love.
His parents were named Joseph and Mary.
Jesus Christ our Lord was the Son she did carry.

Remember Him on Christmas Day.
