Well now, we haven't started anything new in quite some time so I thought - let's have some fun!
Want to have a go? Just create a limerick and post it here. For those who do not know what a limerick is; it is a 5 line verse with rhymes in an AABBA pattern. Simply put: the first, second and fifth lines rhyme with each other and the third and fourth lines share another rhyme.
Clearly, I have too much time on my hands because I put these together this afternoon:
Druid’s Limerick
There once was a druid visiting the city,
Who helped a beginner out of pity,
They gifted a slice,
Of Mint Cake so nice,
And talked the hind legs off a donkey!
Mage’s Limerick
There once was a village full of Mages,
Who were ever so eager stargazers,
They watched the sky all night,
Drank coffee until first light,
And gifted each other Lemon Cake Slices.
Sorcerer’s Limerick
There was a young Sorcerer in The City,
Who dressed up ever so witchy,
She loved gifting Cherry Cake,
Bestowed Pranks of all make,
Whilst Red Powder rained down oh so pretty.
Shaman’s Limerick
A Shaman was seen in his garden,
Decorating with joyful abandon,
He positioned his walls,
His flowers and stalls,
Gifted Cheese Cake and then he played on.
My rhyming is appalling but it was too much fun to give up.
Ready to give it a try? Come on then! What are you waiting for?
